Collection: Hot Wheels '65 Volkswagen Fastback & Volkswagen Drag Truck

Sorry for the long hiatus! I have been busy moving house and settling down in my new home. I just recently got internet (hurray!) and I'm able to update a little more on my collection.



I have previously blogged about my VW Fastback collection and I am happy to have included another VW Fastback for 2009. It is from the Hot Wheels Garage Series, under Phil's Garage. Designed by Phil Riehlman, this car also sports the new 5-spoke rims which can be found in the 288 GTO and super TH Chevy Camaro.


The other one as per title is the VW Drag Truck. A definite favourite amongst collectors, due to its weight and funky design. It is quite good amongst customizers too, since there is a lot of space to work with. Despite debuting only in 2004, it has already been reproduced under the RLC Club Car, Japan Custom Show Car, made it to Mail-In Offers twice just to name a few.
