Recently completed my set of Hot Wheels First Edition 2007, after a direct swap of Hot Wheels with a forumer in LYN, Guyy. I swapped a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup for the blue Golf GTI, which to my dismay, Guyy reported that the A-Pillar on the 911 GT3 was broken. He was kind in the sense that he didn't ask for a refund or return. Such a nice guy, and I'm glad too because in this die-cast community, I have been fortunate to meet a lot of generous people. Thanks Guyy!
The white variation was one of my first purchases when I started collecting back in July. Was absolutely thrilled to have found a Golf GTI on the racks, and never looked back since. Now this set has only two colour variations and its not so hard to complete yet. But better complete it before its hard to find. :-) I have also customized one of this model, as shown on the banner. Check it out if you haven't already!
The second completed set featured here is the Datsun 240Z. This set is 2006 First Editions, and as you can see the two colour variations was produced in the middle of a blister card design change. The white variation was one of the last batches to carry that old card format and the yellow variation was one of the first batches to sport the new card format. There will be another overhaul in card design in the coming 2009 cars, look out for them. It looks pretty interesting. :-)
I obtained the white variation via trading with another LYN forumer, and since we have sale threads and gatherings, it makes it easier for us to trade or buy/sell each other stuff. The yellow variation came together with the purchase of a HotBox. :-) There is a KMart grey, but again its almost impossible to obtain here unless via eBay.
